About the Engineering Dept.
The Engineering Department has several main functions:
Design, construct, prepare budgets and apply for grants for all capital improvement projects such as new or reconstructed roads, water mains, storm and sanitary sewers, bridges, culverts, storm water detention basins and traffic signalization.
Monitor all capital improvement projects and all residential and commercial developments within the City for conformance will all engineering standards.
Daily "problem solving" of citizens concerns regarding drainage, roads and other infrastructure concerns. Assist other departments with same.
