AARP Tax Aide - Request for Volunteers

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO HELP LOCAL TAXPAYERS
In Southwestern Cuyahoga County
AARP Foundation has kicked off volunteer recruitment for its Tax-Aide program, the nation’s largest volunteer-based tax preparation service. Volunteers may sign up to assist taxpayers either in person or virtually, with a number of roles available.
In addition to tax preparers and greeters, whom the program will train, Tax-Aide needs people who can provide technical and communications assistance, interpreters, and program leaders. Volunteers come from a variety of industries and range from retirees to university students. All volunteers need an email address and preparers with computer skills are preferred. Our recruitment of volunteers is on a non-discriminatory basis without consideration of race, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.
Tax-Aide offers free in-person and online tax preparation and assistance nationwide to taxpayers with low to moderate income. Because of the complexity of the U.S. tax code, many taxpayers overpay their taxes or turn to paid tax services they cannot afford. Some may forgo filing their taxes and miss out on the credits and deductions they’ve earned because they are unable to pay for assistance. Tax-Aide volunteers can help by providing necessary services in communities where there is the greatest need.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide has grown since its inaugural team of just four volunteers in 1968 and has served over 68 million taxpayers since its inception. The program has volunteers in every state and typically number more than 28,000.

Pursuant to Article X, Amendments to Charter, Section 2, Amendments of the Charter of the City of Seven Hills, Ohio, and Article XVIII, Sections 8 & 9, of the Ohio Constitution, public notice is hereby given that the proposed Charter Amendments will be submitted to the electors at the General Election being held Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF SEVEN HILLS, OHIO, A CERTAIN CHARTER AMENDMENT PURSUANT TO ARTICLE X OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SEVEN HILLS, OHIO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING ARTICLE V, ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENTS, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, SECTION 8, ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS, TO AMEND THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS, TO AMEND THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS PROCESS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Copies of Amended Ordinance No. 29-2026 will be on file in the office of the Clerk of Council of the City of Seven Hills, Ohio for inspection by any person interested therein. Zoning Board of Appeals Update
Due to a recent change in the Collective Bargaining Agreements, City Hall is closed on Veterans Day. Therefore, the Zoning Board of Appeals hearing date has been changed from Wednesday, November 11th to Wednesday, November 18, 2026 at 7:00PM. Please mark your calendars accordingly.
