Parks Crew Member Position Overview

The Parks Crew Member is a part-time role that reports directly to the Parks and Building Supervisor or the Recreation and Parks Director. The working hours and days are flexible and may change periodically to accommodate the needs of the Recreation Complex and City Parks, ensuring their effective, safe, and professional management.

Duties:

The part-time Crew Member will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Landscape maintenance

  • Janitorial and custodial duties

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Recreation and Parks Director or Parks and Building Supervisor

**Please note that 90% of shifts, even on weekends, start early in the morning, with limited opportunities for evening work.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the part-time Crew Member position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 14 years old prior to hiring.

  • Be willing to work outdoors, even in inclement weather.

  • Availability for at least two weekends per month during the athletic season (April through October)

  • Physical ability to lift and transport 50 pounds over a short distance.

  • Possession of a valid Ohio driver's license is preferred.

Hourly Compensation:

Compensation will be negotiated with the Parks and Building Supervisor or Recreation and Parks Director. Possession of a driver's license and relevant experience will be considered.
