SEWER DISCHARGE PERMIT COMPLIANCE REPORT
The City of Seven Hills, and all other communities in our region,
must obtain an annual sewer Discharge Permit from the Northeast Ohio Regional
Sewer District (NEORSD) for operation of the city's sewer system. An extensive
Annual Compliance Report must be filed and approved by the NEORSD, documenting
Seven Hills' sewer maintenance work. The most recent Compliance Report was
filed on February 28, 2019, and a Discharge Permit was approved by the NEORSD.
Here is a link to some of that Compliance Report.
Seven Hills
spends Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars annually on maintenance of our sewers,
much of which goes toward the preventive cleaning of basins. Our plan is
to clean every basin once every 6 or 7 years in order to comply with the NEORSD
Discharge Permit Annual Compliance requirements. Service Director Johnson
is working to reduce that time further. Earlier this year (Feb 2019) Seven
Hills contracted with the county with goal of reducing the time between
cleaning.
