May Hall of Fame Resident of the Month

5/1/2022
Congratulations Michael Klubnik our May Resident of the Month! Thank you for all you do for our Community!

I'm so fortunate to live in Seven Hills with my wife of 29 years, Natalie, and two grown children, Leah and Noah.  I've been a resident of Seven Hills for 38 years, attending Col. John Glenn and Hillside schools. I was one of the five streets in Seven Hills that attended Parma Sr.  At Baldwin-Wallace University, I trained as a science teacher and was an educator for 28 years before switching careers to my present position as Park and Building Supervisor for the City of Seven Hills.  The job I always wanted after teaching.

In the past I have been a Catholic Youth Organization coach for baseball, football, and wrestling.  I have also coached for the Seven Hills Baseball Federation and Normandy HS's Fall fastpitch team.  Within the SHBF, I was Director of Umpires for 13 years.  I have been a staff member for various fundraisers at St. Columbkille for the Church and affiliated organizations like St. Columbkille School and Athletic Boosters.  In the past I taught 8th grade PSR at the church.  Being a hobbyist woodworker, I donated wood crafted hobby horses to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital's fundraising auction.

I currently am a lector, substitute eucharistic minister, and adoration chapel attendant at St. Columbkille.

I am happy to be part of all the improvements taking place in our wonderful city, especially those in the park system.  Our city is going in the right direction and I get great satisfaction when people use our Recreation Center and park facilities. The people I get to see and even talk with at the Rec and in the parks when I am out and about doing park chores makes my day as I see how many other citizens (and their pets) love this city as much as I do.
