  5. NEW BUSINESS

    a.         4020 Vincent Drive, John and Mary Sarrouh, front yard setback encroachment,

                A variance to Ordinance No. 991.02 Residence Districts, to allow the proposed concrete porch extension to encroach 8’ into the required 35’ front yard setback

     

                b.         7701 Broadview Road, Meijer Inc., additional signage, “Pick-Up” sign/s

                A variance to Ordinance No. 171.05(b) Designs Standards, Projecting Signs, to allow the                 proposed Projection Sign to project 5’8” from the wall. City’s Codified Ordinances allow a projection sign to project a maximum of 3’ from the wall;

     

                A variance to Ordinance No. 171.10(b) Location and Supplementary Area Regulations for Signs in Business Districts; the proposed 45.8 square feet of additional signage will exceed the maximum gross area of all permanent signs;

     

                A variance to Ordinance No. 171.09(b), Signs in Business Districts Generally, Maximum Area Permitted; the proposed 45.8 square feet of additional signage will exceed the maximum gross area allowed for building signs.

                Variance requests may be amended or deviated from that which appears above. 

                The Board will first hear testimony of the applicant for the variance.  Thereafter,

                the Board will allow interested parties to be heard on the subject of the public hearing.
