September Hall of Fame Resident of the Month
Congratulations to our September Resident of the Month Kristen Septaric! We have talented residents in Seven Hills!
Kristen Septaric was born and raised in Seven Hills. From the time she was a small child, she always had a keen interest in the medical professions. After attending Green Valley Elementary School and Hillside Middle School, Kristen attended Normandy High School where she took the Medical Health Professions Career Tech class. She also took full advantage of the College Credit Plus (CCP) program, and in 2017, she earned Associate Degrees in both Arts and Science from Cuyahoga Community College (TriC). She graduated from Normandy High School with honors in 2018 and took her TriC college credits to Kent State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health in May of 2020. During the Covid Pandemic (2020-21), Kristen prepared for her MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) in 2020, worked a medical Research Fellowship in the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Akron Campus (both Summers of 2020 and 2021), and she earned a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology from KSU in 2021. One of Kristen’s research case reports from Cleveland Clinic Akron on the subject of Myocarditis was recently published in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine. In July 2021, Kristen entered Northeast Ohio Medical College (NEOMED) as a first year medical student (M-1).
Kristen has been grateful for the education that she received from the Parma City School District. The course that most prepared her for her current schooling was the Medical Health Professions class at Normandy. Kristen has felt blessed to have lived her entire life in Seven Hills, Ohio. She never realized how fortunate that we all are to have a great system of education and access to world class health care within minutes of our front door.
