Health and Wellness Fair
The U.S. Surgeon General says mature adults can get significant health benefits by engaging in a moderate level of physical activity on all, or most, days of the week. National Senior Health & Fitness Day is typically the last Wednesday in May. On that day Mount Alverna Village and Seven Hills Community Recreation Center will host a Senior Health & Fitness Day Health Fair at 7777 Summitview Drive, time TBD. Area seniors are invited to call for more information 216-524-6262.
The Seven Hills Senior Health Fair has quickly become one of the largest and most attended events in Cuyahoga County. In years past, up to 100 vendors, service providers, health care professionals and medical facility representatives have been on-hand to provide up to date products and information regarding senior health and fitness. Entertainment, refreshments, raffles, demonstrations and screenings will be available to all attendees.
In the weeks leading up to National Senior Health and Fitness Day, programming will be scheduled each Wednesday of May at the Seven Hills Community Recreation Center gathering rooms. Schedule will include: a light breakfast, a speaker, an activity corresponding with the week's topic and entertainment. Weekly events as well as the Fair are free of charge to all.
