City Officials

The City of Seven Hills has a Mayor/Council form of government. City Council is responsible for managing the city's finances and the creation of legislation. The seven member council is made up of four ward council members and three members serving in an at-large capacity.

 

The Mayor

David Bentkowski

Mayor David BentkowskiIn 2007, Mayor David Bentkowski was re-elected to his second term with 82% of the vote. His current term lasts until 2011. He was first elected Mayor in 2003 with nearly 60% of the vote. Previously, he had served as both a Ward Councilman and Councilman at Large.

Mayor Bentkowski was the youngest Mayor ever elected in Seven Hills and one of the youngest Mayor's elected in the State of Ohio.

Mayor Bentkowski has lived in Seven Hills since 1977. His parents still live in the city in his boyhood home and the Mayor lives in the famous Beck house on Crossview Road. Mayor Bentkowski is an attorney by trade and one of the region's most respected lobbyists.

He hosts a local television show called "Around Town" and he has been nominated for a television Emmy. In addition, he has appeared on local television hundreds of times in connection with his charitable efforts.

Mayor Bentkowski attended Padua Franciscan High School. He graduated from the University of Toledo in only three years and he also graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, one of the schools' youngest ever graduates. He has been an attorney since 1997.
